Minor Mechanics Changes

Potions of Healing

Rules as written, a potion can be drunk or administered as a Bonus Action to then roll for HP applied.

Campaign Rule

In addition, you may use an Action to either drink or administer and receive the maximum amount of HP without rolling.

Hold Action

Campaign Rule

On your turn you may choose to permanently change your initiative slot in an encounter to a lower slot. This can only be done once per character per encounter. Once the Initiative is changed it cannot be undone, unless a class/subclass feature, feat or spell allows you to change it.

Critical Hits

Campaign Rule

When a Natural 20 is rolled on an attack roll (Melee, Ranged or Spell), use the following changes:

Melee, Ranged and Spell Attack Rolls: Roll all applicable damage dice for the attack and add applicable modifiers. Then add the Maximum damage of all applicable damage dice to the total.

Languages in the Frontier

D&D 5.5e classifies Languages into two categories: Standard and Rare.

Campaign Rule

We will be adding a third category: Frontier Languages. These are languages spoken by the creatures of Okeron, once lost to time. Their languages are generally spoken by the current natives of the west or are dead languages of the societies that once dwelt here in the west.

These languages may be learned by a player character as part of a downtime activity, if they have a suitable teacher to learn from.
